EirGrid's Northern Ireland transmission system operator counterpart - jointly manages the Single Electricity Market (SEM) with EirGrid. Northern Ireland's contribution is already folded into the all-island EirGrid figures above rather than fetched separately.

Used for: covered via the all-island EirGrid feed.

The Single Electricity Market Operator publishes wholesale day-ahead and intraday market pricing for the island of Ireland through its Website Report API. It's public and keyless, but the exact report identifier for day-ahead index prices isn't confirmed yet.

Used for: nothing directly - the same SEM day-ahead price is also published via ENTSO-E (see the Europe section below), which is what the Ireland page's SEM price stat now actually uses.

The US Energy Information Administration's own free API, including the Hourly Electric Grid Monitor (EIA-930) - the closest thing to a single national demand/generation figure, summing the lower-48 states' balancing authorities. Doesn't cover Alaska, Hawaii or US territories (they're outside EIA-930's balancing-authority coverage), and doesn't publish price or emissions data at all.

Used for: the USA page's demand, generation, total interchange, generation mix, 24-hour mix chart and History section. Requires the site operator's own free API key (see includes/config.php.example) - shows "not enough recorded history yet" rather than a placeholder figure if one isn't set or ingestion hasn't run yet.

An open-source project (plus a hosted API with a free tier) that normalises near-real-time data from CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, SPP, NYISO and ISO-NE into one schema. Closer to real-time than the EIA, but covers specific regions rather than one national number.

Used for: nothing - not used by this site. Showing seven-plus regional figures instead of one lower-48 total isn't a trade-off this page makes; the USA page sticks to the single EIA source above by design.

CAISO's OASIS, ERCOT, PJM's Data Miner 2, NYISO and ISO-NE each publish their own free feeds directly - each with a different format, granularity and registration process, which is exactly the fragmentation gridstatus.io exists to paper over.

The pan-European grid data hub - every TSO connected to the Continental Europe or Nordic synchronous areas is required by EU regulation to publish here. Covers actual total load (demand), actual generation per fuel type, and day-ahead price, per bidding zone.

Used for: all ten European country pages' demand, generation, price, mix, 24-hour mix chart and History, plus Ireland's SEM price and generation-mix gap-fill (see the Ireland section above). Requires the site operator's own free API token, obtained through a short registration-plus-email process - shows "not enough recorded history yet" rather than a placeholder figure on every page above if one isn't set or ingestion hasn't run yet.

Ontario's Independent Electricity System Operator publishes real-time demand and hourly generation-by-fuel-type reports. Public and keyless.

Used for: the Canada page's demand, generation mix and History section (Ontario only). No price, emissions or interprovincial transfer figures - IESO's pricing is set through a complex multi-mechanism structure this install doesn't parse, and it doesn't publish an emissions figure at all. Only the "most recent" report aliases are polled, so History for this page builds up gradually over time rather than starting with years of backlog like the GB pages.
